Why does custom aluminum cost more than stock windows?

A stock window is built before you order it and pulled from a shelf. A custom aluminum system doesn't exist until your dimensions, glazing, and finish are locked — then it's fabricated to your opening and NFRC-rated as that exact configuration. You're paying for fabrication and capability: slim sightlines from 20mm, glass spans past 12 feet, and frame depths matched to the wall, none of which a stock product can deliver.

What is a thermal break, and why does it matter?

A thermal break is a strip of low-conductivity material — usually glass-reinforced polyamide — set between the inside and outside halves of an aluminum frame. It interrupts the heat that would otherwise pass straight through the metal. The width of that break is the biggest driver of frame performance: a wider break means a warmer interior frame, lower U-factors, and less condensation in winter. It's the reason a modern thermally broken frame performs nothing like the old single-pane aluminum of decades past.

How long is the warranty?

10 years. Years 1–5 are full coverage handled directly by Everva — we cover replacement costs upfront, free hardware swaps, and free on-call support. Years 6–10 step into the manufacturer's warranty, with Everva acting as your warranty bridge and negotiating on your behalf.

What if a pane breaks during construction?

We partner with a local NC glass plant to cut replacement insulated glass units locally — no waiting on a container from overseas. European systems use internal glazing beads, so the glass can be swapped without removing the frame from the wall.

10–14 weeks from order confirmation. Every Everva system is cut to your project's exact specifications — not pulled from warehouse stock. Plan to sign the window order during foundation pour rather than at framing complete.

How do payments work?

Two structures depending on order size: 60/40 (60% deposit, 40% on delivery) or 50/40/10 (50% deposit, 40% on arrival and inspection, 10% post-installation). Quotes are valid for 30 days and include tariffs.
